To make the most out of every opportunity is almost everyone’s goal in life, but not all of us succeed in taking that step in the right direction at the right time. We must prime the world around us as we train ourselves to reach the heights we dream of. While every industry aims for better development, people are also moving ahead to make leaps that last an impression. Exploring this ever-changing planet is a blessing not everyone receives; many are deterred from chasing their dreams due to multiple reasons. But physical disability shouldn’t be one of the factors shackling the souls. This world needs people like Nathalie McGloin to build a new generation of people who don’t give up on their dreams.
It is also disheartening to know that such true legends are left unnoticed or unappreciated for their achievements like the others do. Shedding light on the less popular sports will help recognize the most talented players. Nathalie has been in the game for over five years now, and she is accomplishing greater milestones in life with every passing year. Let us take a closer look at the challenges and accolades that paved the path to the success of the unwavering soul of McGloin.
About Nathalie McGloin
To be known as the only female tetraplegic racing driver in the world is an unparalleled achievement. It was in 2015 that she became the first female to race in the UK despite the spinal injury she suffered from. She entered the picture only to broaden the minds of the viewers and the authorities, opening more opportunities for the interested racers across the globe. Although she received the racing license in 2015, Nathalie started racing only in 2019. Even at this point, there was no female disabled rally driver to compete with her for the title.
Nathalie has been racing a hand-controlled Cayman S for quite some time, and she made a grand entry in the same at the Porsche Club Championship and the Classic Sports Car Club. The most impressive fact is that she competed with able-bodied me for the title, and she won her first race in 2018. In the last two years, she has continued with her track racing and also ventured into Rally.
We now know how Nathalie conquered the hearts of millions of sports lovers. However, her legacy doesn’t end at the finish line of every race. Nathalie is also known as an aspirational speaker, delivering several speeches at corporate and charity events around the globe. Stories are always inspiring, but to have a first-hand experience and talk about it isn’t the easiest way to encourage other people to take up a certain profession. She doesn’t focus on the career she has pursued; it is the challenges of the age that she brings to light to help others with the same problems. Anything is possible as long as we have a high spirit that never gives up.
